Villa Humboldt

Negative: More blankets and towels were needed. Too limited by the amount of time

Positive: Zeer ruime villa, fenomenaal uitzicht! Ook goede locatie om vanuit te vertrekken om noord Tenerife te ontdekken. Negative: De eerste avond hadden we plots geen warm water meer. We hebben gewacht tot de volgende dag, nog altijd was al het water koud. Dan contact opgenomen met de eigenaar (het was weekend) en niet meteen kunnen bereiken. Uit wanhoop hebben we gezocht en we vonden dan zelf waar de gasflessen stonden en deze waren leeg, we hebben deze zelf vervangen met volle flessen die daar ook nog in de buurt stonden. Nadien werkte het warm water wel opnieuw. Ze namen later contact op wanneer we het probleem zelf al opgelost hadden. Verder vonden we dat het een eerder oud gebouw was, wat niet erg is, maar de kamers roken muf en er was schimmel aanwezig.

Positive: The thing I like the most was the stunning view, spacious backyard/patio and the size of the house. Negative: While the view is nice, the villa needs serious attention. The house had a musty like very old house smell, and the kitchen and bathrooms are really outdated they clearly haven’t been renovated in many years. The shower was broken, the refrigerator was leaking and it would not close properly and the main door wouldn’t open properly. There were no instructions for anything, so we had to figure out things like the Wi-Fi and keys on our own. The outside lights didn't work except for some purple ones on the patio, and the hot water stopped working the day after we arrived, leaving us with cold showers. Although someone came the next day to fix it, it was still a hassle you don't want to deal with in your vacation. The entrance to the backyard is very tight and steep, making it hard to navigate even though the garage is spacious. Overall, the maintenance is really poor, and the house is in desperate need of a remodel. Despite the beautiful view, the smell and all the problems made our stay disappointing, and we won’t be returning.

No estuvimos cómodos Positive: Lo mejor es la ubicación Negative: No había mantas/edredones para todas las camas. Había camas dobles con sabanas, mantas/edredones individuales. Las camas resultaron realmente incomodas por ese motivo. Estuvimos un día sin agua caliente. El resto del tiempo el agua caliente fluctuaba continuamente. No había cubiertos suficientes para todos los ocupantes. La casa estaba limpia en general, pero no la cocina, que incluso tenía mal olor. Mal el sistema de iluminación. Al menos 10 luces (las conté) no se encendían y otras no se podían apagar por fallo en el interruptor. En el exterior cables sueltos que podrían ser incluso peligrosos. De los 4 dormitorios dos tenían calefacción, los otros dos no. El sofá y los sillones del porche no tienen cojines por lo que resulta imposible utilizarlos. En las fotos de booking si que aparecen los cojines. Alfombras, cojines y otros elementos decorativos y de confort que aparecen en las fotos de booking no existen. En general la casa en sí está bien, pero el cuidado y mantenimiento es lamentable.
